Andy Sorensen (ajstudio) > Not all snow crystals look like the commonly photographed 6-sided stars/flowers. A great deal of snow falls in other forms. Pictured here are 6-sided columns. These little guys look like little long granules. There are many different forms that snow can fall as, including bullets, needles, plates and more.
Andy Sorensen (ajstudio) > This photo was highlighted on the Anchorage, Alaska KTUU channel 2 news weather segment today (1/3/07) - a day where we broke a single day snowfall record for January.
